A Great Birthday Meal
Great food. The staff ensured I had a choice of gluten-free starters and main meals. Most restaurants do not offer this and the gluten-free choice is non-existent. Excellent service and a really enjoyable birthday meal. Online booking with immediate response so reservations is easy to arrange.

Lovely Sunday lunch
We had a delicious Sunday lunch here enjoying roast beef with all the trimmings. The staff was exceptionally welcoming and there was very good attention to hygiene and social distancing. There was a varied menu and choices of other roasts too. The food was beautifully cooked.

Atmospheric Old Mill & Excellent Value for Money
We benefited from a reduction for staying 2 nights, but still received a lovely, character room in the main building, overlooking the river. Loved the outside bar & thought the included breakfasts were excellent. We also enjoyed the evening meal we eat in the hotel, which compared favorably with a meal we eat later in the week in a 5-star hotel! Location is excellent for the town centre & surrounding area. Have already recommended the hotel to friends.

Beautiful Riverside Hotel
We stayed for 3 nights in a delightful room in the main building with original wooden beams and a view over the millpond. The staff are so polite and friendly and we enjoyed drinks on the decked outside area with log burning fire. We visited Slimbridge WWT as I have a keen interest in bird photography and this was an amazing place. I really enjoyed our stay in this delightful hotel.

Wonderful Team
Met my partner after a couple of hours of work for a quick pint – What a wonderful welcome, the team here are so friendly and helpful, what an amazing experience, can’t wait to go back. Brakspear should be very proud of their new asset.

Great One-Night Stay & Dinner
We really enjoyed our stay. Hotel and rooms with a distinctive character, very stylish! Staff very helpful and efficient. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast and put it on our list to return sometime soon!

Totally Enjoyed Our Stay
What a fantastic time we had. Impressive hotel and has such lovely staff, so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast each day was a pleasure served by Bruce. Simply no negatives at all, would definitely love to return.

Amazing Service
I visited Egypt mill last week for a family meal, we were seated almost instantly and made to feel really welcome by the staff. We were looked after by Lauren and were so impressed with how friendly and attentive she was to us. We had quite a lot of dietary requirements which she acknowledged and advised. We found her very professional and appreciated that she addressed COVID rules and regulations. The food was amazing and came out quickly… overall very impressed with our meal and will definitely be returning!

Mini Break
Husband has been there for work and enjoyed so booked it for us as a much-needed break. From the moment we arrived until we left, loved it. Old converted cotton mill, on the edge of the Cotswolds, good food and plenty of charm. Huge thankyous to Hollie, Charlie, Nikki, Anna, Laura (the nutty Romanian), and Annabel. Not forgetting Paul, thank you again. We will be back.

Saturday Bike Ride
With covid, it’s always going to be unsettling during pub visits… But as a born and bred Stroudie I miss the fact that you can go to a pub and find serving staff that are interested in your life and ambitions. We are missing that. But when you find a gem in the mill… It’s nice to be appreciated. … Thanks for giving us normality and kindness.

Wonderful Service, Beautiful Location
One of my favourite bars in Nailsworth. Beautiful setting, fabulous ambiance. Great food and fab wine. Fantastic service from Jack during a very busy service, very personable. Couldn’t do more for us.

Amazing, Quirky Hotel!
We have just returned from a three-night stay at this wonderful hotel. The setting is stunning with an outdoor area overlooking a river and a welcome log fire pit. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient. There was a great varied choice for breakfast and it was all delicious. Our room was lovely with exposed beams, very clean and comfortable. We hope to return soon. Thank you, everyone.
